Check for skin cancer

Checking for skin cancer represents an important part of our dermatological work. Skin cancer has increased strongly during the last few years.

With the aid of a reflected light microscope conspicuous pigmentation can generally be discovered early enough to prevent skin cancer developing. Part of the preventive check-up is also to give extensive information about the factors which you can influence yourself to give skin cancer little chance of developing.

This preventive check-up is especially important for persons who are on immunosuppressive / immunomodulatory drugs (e.g. dialysis patients, condition after organ transplants). Statistically there is a greater risk of skin cancer for this group of patients.

  • determination of your special skin type
  • advice on preventive measures

Should you already have had skin cancer before then we shall of course discuss the after-care. In this case the skin should be checked at regular intervals.
